Overview of Diabetic Neuropathy Over time, people with diabetes can sustain damage to nerves throughout the body. Diabetic neuropathies are a family of nerve disorders caused by diabetes. Neuropathies lead to numbness and sometimes pain and weakness in the hands, arms, feet, and legs. Problems may also occur in every organ system within the body.

Trigger Points

A trigger point is a sensitive or irritable spot in the body that can be a main or associated source of pain when muscle fails to relax. It is a small area in a muscle, which when pressed or touched causes pain in other parts of the body.
