Andrew Kitterman, PA-C recently spoke at the FMMA Annual Conference, whose goal is to unite and strengthen the benefits of free market healthcare. The FMMA Annual Conference took place in Dallas from April 11- 13, 2019. Read Kitterman’s notes below on how the FMMA has helped him embrace new ideas to improve healthcare and how to navigate the current health insurance system.
As a clinician, I am constantly learning and adapting the way I practice medicine to improve patient outcomes and ensure patient satisfaction.
If you never embrace change as a clinician you will never improve and you no longer have your patients best interest at heart.
In a similar fashion, it is important to embrace new ideas when it comes to the traditional models of healthcare. Involvement with the Free Market Medical Association has introduced me to several revolutionary ideas in healthcare including price transparency, free market medicine, and value driven healthcare. I recently had the pleasure of attending the annual FMMA conference in Dallas, TX and emerged with a fresh perspective and motivation to change the current system.
For too long, patients, clinicians, and medical facilities have suffered under the current healthcare system while insurance companies and major hospitals have padded their pockets. Do people truly believe that insurance companies and hospital administrators have their best interest at heart? Many people never question the corruption and greed that take place in healthcare simply because that is how it has always been. As free market medicine and price transparency continue to gain traction, a healthcare revolution is eminent.
